He was predeceased by: his parents, Sherman C. Dodd and Hassie McWhirter Dodd; his great grandchild Maddison Martin; and his grandsons, Wayne Dodd and Johnny Dodd.

He is survived by: his wife Carreen Dodd; his children, Sandy Gray (Monte), Nancy Dodd of Hatfield, Mike Dodd (Terry) and Matt Dodd (Leslie) of Blanchard, Oklahoma; his grandchildren, Millie, Mandy, Jacob, Becky, Ronda, Luke, Tonya, Andrea, Travis and Jennie; his nephews, Rusty Elliott, Max Dodd, Mark Dodd and Greg Dodd; and his niece Gwenda Alexander. He is also survived by 21 great-grandchildren.
