She was predeceased by: her parents, Kelly Sutton and Sarah Sutton; her husband George Connell; her daughter Brenda Strange; and her siblings, Warren Sutton, Charles Sutton, Bobby Joe Sutton, Myrtle Fletcher, Edith Pitts and Georgia Bland (Jo).
She is survived by: her children, Kelly Amburgey of Frenchburg, Kentucky, Richard Amburgey of Frenchburg, Kentucky, Tommy Amburgey and Carolyn Estes of Hartman, Arkansas. She is also survived by her 6 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
