She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Courtney and Florence Courtney (Johnson); her husband Edward; her sons, James and Edward; her siblings, Edward, Murray, Thomas, Gilbert, William, Kenneth Courtney, Evelyn Merriweather and Pearl Hales; and her son-in-law Lester Clark.
She is survived by: her children, Valerie Clark of Harrison, Verna Roelfs (Randy) of Union Hall, John Valentine (Kathy Ann) of Harrison, Denise Hammond (Jim) of Yucaipa and Calvin Valentine (Jessica) of St Louis, Missouri; and her daughter-in-law June Valentine of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
