With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Vernon E. Smith of Harrison, Arkansas, who passed away on September 14, 2022 at the age of 91. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Vernon E. Smith to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Elbridge Smith and Willie Smith (Snow); and his former wives, Wilma Gibbs Smith and Nadine Villines Smith. He is survived by: his children, Larry Smith, Harold Smith, Louise Surber (Jim), Janet Heard, Joann Smith and Charlotte Dunnigan (Claude Ralls); and his sisters-in-law, Elvie Smith and Betty Smith. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended relatives and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Children's Charity Ministry, Arkansas Children's Hospital or St. Jude's.
