She was predeceased by: her parents, Sherman Goats and Della Goats (Drewry); her son Maurice Edwin "Butch" Hankins; her siblings, Leroy, Zelo Goats and Bertha Baughman; her grandson Quentin Hankins; and her daughter-in-law Debbie Hankins.
She is survived by: her husband Thomas "Tom" Young; her children, Mel Hankins, Mike Hankins (Dorinda), Judy Gerdes (Mike) and Mitchell Young (Freda); her daughter-in-law Sharon Hankins; her grandchildren, Necie, Cindy, Cheryl, Candice, Brad, Angela, Nikki, Carrie, Joey of Mitchell Thomas and Mallory; her nieces, Bernice, Willie and Darlene; and her close friend Peggy Hathcoat. She is also survived by several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
