She was predeceased by: her parents, James Riley and Malinda Turney Harness; her husband Clinton Eugene Mathis; her children, Kimmy Britt and Kevan Eugene Mathis; her great grandchild Ashley Harkrider; and her siblings, Earl Harness, Clifford Harness, Troy Harness, Roy Harness, Perry Harness, James Riley Harness Jr. and Reva Harness.

She is survived by: her great grandchild Kimberly Mathis (Kayla Mondy); and her close friend Jennie Fore. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
