He was predeceased by: his wife Lillian Juanita Sims; his sister Katherine; his former wife Cora Ann; his grandson Grant Edward West; and his son-in-law Bill Sumner Jr..
He is survived by: his stepchildren, Gwen Weedman Hathcock and Gregory Norman Weedman. He is also survived by his many friends, he is survived by his children; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, his family requests random acts of giving and forgiveness.
