He was predeceased by: his parents, Garvin Staggs and Verna Lee Staggs; his wife Clara Belle Flippo; and his brother Lonnie Ray Staggs. He is survived by: his siblings, Geneva Estes of Harrison, Linda Moore of Harrison, Martha Adams of Leachville, Jerry Staggs of Diamond City, Jerette Staggs of Lead Hill and Wayne Staggs of Lead Hill; and his aunt Joy Quint. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
After retirement, Ron and Clara enjoyed going to yard sales and going out to eat but their plans were altered by Clara's Alzheimer's diagnosis.
