He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Sherman Jr. and Elizabeth Louisa "Lizzie Lou" Myers Wheeler; and his brother W. J. "Dub" Wheeler. He is survived by: his wife Pat Wheeler of Harrison; his sons, Rob (Angie Wheeler) and Steve (Amy Wheeler); his grandchildren, Kaitlin, Heather Wheeler of Hinsdale, Macy Wheeler of Fayetteville, Lindsay Wheeler of Dallas, Violet of Chicago, Illinois and Lilia Coker of Chicago, Illinois; his nieces and nephews, Keith Wheeler of Tulsa, Kathy Dismore of Jasper, Colt of Ruston, Louisiana and Derrick Funderburg of Ruston, Louisiana; and his sister-in-law Debbie Funderburg of El Dorado.
