He was predeceased by: his parents, Solon Barnard and Margie Barnard; and his former wife Charlotte. He is survived by: his daughter Sherry Smith (Keith) of Prairie Grove; his grandchildren, Scott Barnard (Melissa) of Alpena, Ike Smith (Kelsey) of Bentonville, Bethani Valentine (Kirby) of Prairie Grove, Faith Andrews (Tanner) of Siloam, Chris Barnard (Stephanie) of Rogers, Hunter Barnard (Jennifer) of Alpena and Brady Barnard (Payton) of Green Forest; his stepchildren, David Milford (Julie) of Evans, GA and Amanda Milford Chitsey (Blake) of Harrison; his grandchildren, Tyler Milford, Ruby Kate Chitsey, Oliver Chitsey and Max Chitsey; and his brothers, Darrell Barnard (Betty) of Valley Springs and Garry Barnard (Sammye) of Valley Springs.
