She was predeceased by: her parents, Thurman Ray and Ruth Bridges Godfrey; her daughter Jennifer Sagers; and her sister Thurmagene Bright. She is survived by: her daughter Stephanie; her son-in-law Steven Cecil of Harrison; her grandchildren, Justin Sagers of Harrison, Heather Hudson (Mark) of Harrison, Hannah Sagers of Harrison, Elizabeth Sagers of Harrison, Caroline of Conway, Claire Cecil of Conway and Cole Cecil of Harrison; and her siblings, Larry Godfrey (Elizabeth) of Charleston and Kay Saylors of Harrison. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
In remembrance of Phyllis, the family kindly requests that memorials be made to the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), an organization close to her heart.
