He is survived by: his father Paul Richard Merritt; his children, Ashlie Bennett (Eric) of Seymour, MO and Aaron Merritt of Springfield, MO; his grandchildren, Wyett, Austin, Sydnie, Sayer and Leyanne; the mother of his children Norma Thomas of Harrison; and his siblings, Terry Creek, Jim Merritt, Johnny Creek and Cora Betts. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
