He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Edward and Mary Elsie Cooper (French); his son William Paul Cooper; and his siblings, Don, Jimmy, Bill Dean, Dan Cooper, Virginia "Missy" Hendrix and Sue Broyles.

He is survived by: his wife Marion Cooper; his sons, Charles Cooper, Raymond Cooper and Russell Cooper (Tina); his grandchildren, Justin Cooper (Courtney), Ashley Cooper Melendez (Victor), Kayla Cooper Stanley (Morgan), Terry Cooper, Meagan Price, Tiffany Payton (James Titterington), Craig Cooper (Kaylee), Erin Cooper, Sarah Cooper and Paula "Rudy" Cooper; his sisters, Earlene Hunsaker and Diane Nichols; and his daughter-in-law Rebecca Cooper. He is also survived by 18 great grandchildren.
