She was predeceased by: her parents, Lee Barnes and Gertrude Barnes (Rodgers); and her former husband Richard Holland of Newton County. She is survived by: her husband Vernon Howard Smothers; her daughters, Gail (Steve Chaney) and Linda Woodworth of Harrison; her grandchildren, Keith (Ventura Alford), Jarrett (Denise Chaney), Jesse (Kristin Chaney) and Victoria Chaney of Portland, Oregon; and her stepchildren, Rose Watabe of Fairbanks, Juanita Holland of Fairbanks, Robert Holland of Fairbanks and David Holland of Omaha, Arkansas.. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
