She was predeceased by: her parents, Burton Quin Bates and Eva Iola Prestige Bates; her husband Leonard E. Pruitt; her brother Quin Bates; and her grandson Zachary Pruitt.
She is survived by: her children, Donna Wiggin, Roger Pruitt (Sharon) and Russell Pruitt (Cheryl); and her sister Cecile Dean. She is also survived by six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
