He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Franklin and Edith Jewell Johnson. He is survived by: his wife Rita Johnson; his children, Linda Reeves (Robert), Danae Eddings (Robert), Tom Rudzewicz (Janet) and Stan Rudzewicz; his grandchildren, Jason, Melissa, Lauren, Kaylee, Austin, Dylan, Donovan and Justyn; and his great grandchildren, Nathaniel, Robert, Kylee, Kara, Alexandria, Tiegan, Mason, Ava, Ella and Palmer. He is also survived by relatives and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Shriner's Hospital for Children or Wounded Warrior Project.
