He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey and Josephine; his sister Cowetia Flannery of California; his stepmother Virginia Youngblood; his son-in-law Tommy Elder; his grandson Eric Wilson; and also Esta Lee Yarbrough.
He is survived by: his spouse Mittie Youngblood; his daughter Becky Elder of Omaha; his stepchildren, Donna Gray (Michael) of Greenbrier and George Smith (Sherri) of Highland; his granddaughter Heather Wilson of Harrison; his stepgrandchildren, Josh Smith (Lydia) of Bergman, J. D, Gray of Conway and Ashley Simmers (Caleb) of Winston-Salem, NC; and his half-brother Mike Youngblood (Kathy) of Harrison. He is also survived by ten great grandchildren; one great great grandson.
