He was predeceased by: his parents, Omar Christian and May Louise Bear (Walter); and his brothers, Charles, Donald, Omar, William and James.
He is survived by: his wife Beverly Pitts Bear; his children, Veronnica Hood of Indianapolis, Indiana and Greg Kirkpatrick; his siblings, Mildred Ginn (Raymond) and Robert Bear, Sr. (Paula); his grandsons, Captain Joshua Hood, Zackary Hood and Andrew Garrett Kirkpatrick; and his great grandchild Zyler Hood.
