She was predeceased by: her parents, Emery Harrell and Ressie Harrell (Yancey); her husband Delbert McFarlan; and her siblings, Ruby Tilley and Benny Harrell.

She is survived by: her sons, Steve and Kevin McFarlan; her grandchildren, Mariah, Stephanie and Thomas McFarlan; her great grandchildren, Sophia Hawes, Ashlynn McFarlan, Steven McFarlan, Thomas McFarlan and Brooklynn Davis; and her sister Elaine Archer.
