He is survived by: his parent James Author; his brother James Irvin of Florida; and his children, James Foster of Hickory Ridge, Charles Foster of Jonesboro, Cindy Neer (Dennis) of Paragould and Susan Moore (Steve) of Jonesboro. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
