He is survived by: his wife Harriet Mathis (Balentine); his sons, Tommy Mathis of Harrisburg and Jason Mathis of Harrisburg; and his sister Clyda Jenkins of Farmington, MO.. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
