He is survived by: his wife Dora Mae Hawes; his daughter Barbara Ann Barrett of Harrisburg, Arkansas; his brother A. L. Hawes of Memphis, Tennessee; his grandson Marc Anthony Barrett; and his great grandchildren, Kaylee Barrett and Kaden Barrett.
