He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Sylvester Massey and Rettie Catherine Massey (Fleming); his wife Tommie Jean Massey; his son Michael Dewayne Massey; and his siblings, Chalmus Bernice and Montez Massey Savell.
He is survived by: his daughter Melody Massey Hager (Mark); his great grandchildren, Shelby Massey (Duncan Gibbs), Joshua Hager (Mary), Mark Hager, Erica Hager (Mike Johnson), Tara Massey Rowe (Wade), Barclay Hager (Veronica), Brandon Tolbert (Sam) and Emily Massey Eley (Bayly); his sister Marth Ann Moore Sharp; and his niece Brenda Gail Massey Cowden.
