He was predeceased by: his parents, Freeman Samons and Olidean Parker Samons; his brother James Samons; and his stepdaughter Lacey Cotter. He is survived by: his wife Lisa Lewallen; his son Heath Samons (Kelly) of Corning; his stepdaughter Channing Earls (Colin) of Ravenden, Arkansas; his grandchildren, Cole Williams (Natalie Thompson), Chacey Earls and Miley Cotter; and his sisters, Linda Masterson (Larry) and Shelia Price (Bobby). He is also survived by many other relatives and good friends.
