He was predeceased by: his parents, John Curtis Loveless and Mildred Ola Haynes Loveless. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Lyon Loveless of Hampton; his daughters, Kim Carlock (Jeff) of Hampton and Lisa Newton (Danny) of Hampton; his sister Sue Bridges of Franklin, TN; and his grandchildren, John Robert Carlock, Brent Newton (Shayna), Ashley Davis (Paul) and Jenni Nutt (Grant). He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
