He was predeceased by: his wife Maxine Crawford Hornaday; his parents, Barney Hornaday and Dallas Neely Hornaday; and his siblings, Lynn Allen, Grover Hornaday, Ben Allen and Ruby Stone.
He is survived by: his children, Frances Shirron (Rick) of Hampton, Alan Hornaday (Sheila) of Mountain Pine and Mark Hornaday (Kristy) of Hampton; and his grandchildren, Nikki Welch of Hampton, Collin Hornaday of Minnesota, Kerbi Mueller of Georgia, Cory Hornaday of Alexander, Crystal Bethea of Sheridan, Summer Harper of Harmony Grove, Addyson Hornaday of Woodberry and Klayton Ballance of Hampton. He is also survived by eleven great grandchildren.
