It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Martha Strother Ricks (Hamburg, Arkansas), born in Portland, Arkansas, who passed away on April 16, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Louis Ricks, Sr.; her granddaughter Charity Stahley; her parents, Doyle Strother and Thelma McCoy Strother; and her brothers, James Earl Strother and Doyle Warren Strother, Jr..
She is survived by: her children, Tommy Ricks of Snyder, Verna Ferry of Wilmar, Nancy Turner of Gillett and Brenda Sedberry (Howell) of Hamburg; her sister Wanda Skaggs (Ron) of Bryant; and her grandchildren, Jimmie Ann Fleetwood, Clayton Wayne Sedberry, Jarrod Stahley, Bridgett Marie Williams and Gregory Scott Williamson. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
