He was predeceased by: his wife Dorothy Jean Tippie; his parents, William Tippie and Annie Bartley Tippie; and his siblings, Rile Tippie, Mildred Mays, Bernice Foster and Doris Jean Scott.
He is survived by: his children, Lawrence Tippie Jr. of Hamburg, Larry Tippie (Monica) of Hamburg, Utroy Tippie of Hamburg and Jacqueline Gibson; and his brothers, Leslie Tippie, Charles Paskel and Wallace Thomas. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren.
