He was predeceased by: his parents, Maxine Murphy and N. B. "Nap" Murphy; and his brother Stephen Murphy. He is survived by: his wife DeAnne Boas Murphy of Hamburg; his children, Olivia Murphy of Fayetteville, Jim Murphy of Hot Springs and Jon Lynton Murphy (Jenny) of Hamburg; his sister Ila Murphy Campbell (Louis) of Fayetteville; and his grandchildren, Audrey, Alex, Kathryn, Judd, Annie, Ian and Rae. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
