He was predeceased by: his parents, A. H. "Gus" and Imogene Morris Johnson; and his brother Morris Johnson. He is survived by: his wife Bettye Bennett Johnson of Pine Bluff; his son Gus Johnson (Jennifer) of West Monroe, Louisiana; his stepdaughters, Candy Hogue (Bubba) of Pine Bluff, Connie Alexander (Russell) of Hot Springs and Christi Pittman (Lee) of Hot Springs; his brother Aubrey Johnson (Johnette) of Mount Ida; his grandchildren, Julia, Taylor, Clay, Hunter (Brittney), Miranda and Mallory; and his great grandchildren, Alexis and Hudson. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
