He was predeceased by: his grandson Sam Tanksley; his parents, Orie Leon and Sarah Alice Freeman; and his sister Ruby E. Freeman Simpson. He is survived by: his wife Mary Thompson Freeman of Hamburg; his children, Scott Freeman (Teri) of Crossett, Tod Freeman (Michelle) of Crossett, Penni Douglas of Hamburg and Zana Johnson (Mike) of Hamburg; and his siblings, Marvin Leon Freeman of St. Louis, Glynn Freeman of Texarkana, Texas and Sheryl "Ann" Freeman Watt of Crossett. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
