It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerry Carter of Hamburg, Arkansas, who passed away on December 14, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Jerry Carter to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his grandson Jonathan Lewis Hinkle; his parents, Arthur Carter and Allie Carpenter Carter; and his siblings, Robby J. Carter and Alice Maxine Carter Lovett.

He is survived by: his wife Clara Jeffers Carter of Hamburg; his children, Bro. Barry Carter (Valerie) of Crossett, Debbie Hinkle (Lewis) of Pine Bluff and Karen Brown (Bobby) of Monticello; his grandchildren, Ruel Henry (Jessica), Bro. Micah Carter (Julie), Ariel Keplinger (Ray), Carter Hinkle (Stephanie), Cady Grice (Aaron) and Ryan Carter; his great grandchildren, Renee, Walker, Tatum, Alicia and Hadlee; and his sisters-in-law, Frances Hobbs of Deridder, Mattie Nicholson (Milas) of Hiawasse and Betty Wells (Charles "Bull") of Hamburg. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
