He is survived by: his wife Annette Sawyer Pennington Meeks of Monticello; his children, James Robert Meeks, Jr. (Teresa), Carol Meeks Burgess (Jim) of Hamburg and Amy Meeks Walton (John) of Hamburg; his siblings, Randall Meeks (Kitty) of Crossett, Charlotte Rush (Bob) of Crossett and Linda Richardson (John) of Hamburg; his stepchildren, Stephanie Kibodeaux (Steven) and Steven Pennington of Monticello; his grandchildren, Shannon Meeks Fox (John), James Robert Meeks, III (Ashley) and Nicholas Craig Meeks; his stepgrandchildren, Seth Sizemore, Sidney Sizemore, Hannah Lamb and Kaitlyn Pennington; his great grandchildren, Xander Fox, Ezekiel Fox, Zoe Fox and Obadiah Fox; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Charleigh Kelley and Kase Lamb. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
