He was predeceased by: his parents, Morgan Taylor and Mamye Jordan Taylor. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Wells Taylor of Farmerville, Louisiana; his daughters, Sharon Mashaw (Blake) of Farmerville, Jan Stanley (Bobby) of Lake Village and Carol Collins (Mike) of Bryant; and his sister Velma Jean Willis of Crossett. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
