It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gladys Louella Rice Martin of Hamburg, Arkansas, who passed away on October 11, 2024, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Carl "Butch" Martin; her son Charles "Bush Hog" Martin; her great grandchild Logan Carpenter; her son-in-law Joe Fred Yates; her parents, Cecil Legett and Abbie Nora Stanley Rice; and her siblings, Charles Fay Rice, Tracey L. Rice, Julia Ann Jenkins, Thomas Madison Rice, Murice Verlee Jenkins and Dixie Nell Bays.
She is survived by: her children, Frankie Martin (Christie) and Cindy Yates of Hamburg; her daughter-in-law Nancy Martin of Hampton; her sister Lexie Mae Estelle of Hamburg; and her grandchildren, Nikki Powers (Jason), C. J. McGilton (Destiny), Clayton McGilton, Jennifer Yates, Dakota Martin (Amy), Justin Martin (Ashton), Ryan Carpenter (Danna) and Brandon Carpenter (Carly). She is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild on the way and a host of nieces and nephews.
