He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Tanksley and Evelyn Jones Tanksley; his father-in-law George Collier; and his brother-in-law Kenneth Wesson. He is survived by: his wife Freda Collier Tanksley; his children, Andy Tanksley (Lisa) of Hamburg, Lisa Benton (James) of Marshall, Heather Tanksley-Carter (Allie) of Eureka and Renae Murphy (Cliff) of Hamburg; his siblings, Johnny Tanksley (Pam) of Hamburg, Jeff Tanksley (Mandy) of Crossett, Annette Wesson of Hamburg, Barbara Kelley (Wayne) of Alexander, Rita Walters (John) of Hamburg and Joyce Collier (Dewayne) of Crossett; his grandchildren, Landon Murphy, Earnest Murphy, Jessica Murphy, Jerrica Murphy, Hannah Benton and Mitchell Benton; his great grandchildren, Reagan Sellars, Jacob Sellars and Reighlynn Cupples; and his mother-in-law JoeAnn Collier of Hamburg. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
