It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Courson Whitworth of Hamburg, Arkansas, born in Fort Smith, Arkansas, who passed away on September 30, 2020, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husbands, Harry "Doc" Courson and Lewis Whitworth; her parents, John Crittenden and Cora Harris Crittenden; her siblings, Harris Crittenden, John Harold Crittenden and Wanda Brooks; and her son-in-law Davis Myers.
She is survived by: her children, Harriet Myers of Atlanta, Renee Hackworth (Garret) of Crossett, Betty Sue Parker (Danny) of Bella Vista and John Courson (Sancy) of McGehee; her stepchildren, Margaret Hall (George) of Atlanta, Sherry McCasland (Tim) of Bloomburg, Brenda Whitworth of Orange, Texas, Lloyd Whitworth (Judy) of Kennewick and Larry Whitworth (Nanette) of Atlanta, Texas; her sister Doris Watson of Atlanta, Georgia; her grandchildren, Jason Hackworth (Nicole), Melissa Toon (Jim), John Harris (Nichole), Shana Ward (Randy), Josh Courson (Katie), Chris Courson (Mandy), Matt Courson, Ashley Knight (Scott), April Toole (Daniel) and Stephen Parker (Lauren); her great grandchildren, Alex Hackworth, Morgan Bucko, Jordanne Hackworth, Katy Streeter, Bailey Toon, Ila Toon, Madison Dykes, Hannah Harris, Kelsey Miles, Angela Ward, Jack Courson, Maeve Courson, Presley Courson, Haysley Courson, Millie Courson, Parker Knight, Beckett Knight, Griffin Toole, Tucker Toole, Charlie Toole, Sadie Toole, Oaks Parker, Birdy Parker, Cade Swanson and Brendan Swanson; and her great great grandchildren, Rylin Swanson, T. J. Swanson, Weylan Adair, Lydia Miles and Hannah Miles. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
