She was predeceased by: her husband John L. Works; her son John Larry Works; her parents, Ted Henry and Ella Mae Peoples-Nicholson; and her brothers, Otis, Ted, Sterling Nicholson and Juan Boscar.
She is survived by: her sisters, Lula Nicholson of Chicago, IL, Jewelean Sims of Las Vegas, NV, Loylee Davidson of Toledo, OH and Joanne Nicholson of Little Rock, AR. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
