She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Lee Sharp and Hattie Danner Sharp; her husband Buford Hathorn; her children, James, Janet and Lawrence Hathorn; her sisters, Anita Posey and Hazel Harris; her children, Robert Hathorn of Hamburg, Patrick Hathorn of Gillett, Laura Hartman of Dickenson and Judith Fritsch of Gillett; and her siblings, John Sharp of Mobile, Ala, Kathy Edwards of Dumas, Mary Corbitt of Pine Buff and Mildred Freeman of Dewitt. She was also cherished by eleven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
