He is survived by: his wife Debrah Sams (Holt); his sons, Evan Sams (Bug) of Hagarville, Arkansas, Butch Thomas (Melissa) of Clarksville, Arkansas, Dexter Sams (D. J.) of Oklahoma and Dean Sams of Oklahoma; his brother Robert Sams; his son Jacob Sams; his sister Gail Best (Edgar Best); and his grandchildren, Ava Jewell Sams, Archer Sams, Madison Thomas, Koltin Thomas, Liam Thomas, Kadin Ragsdale, Lane Terherst, Payten Pitt (Sams), Katrina Sams, Kaitlyn Sams and Kaiya Sams.
