He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Eckert and Eva Eckert (Rice); and his siblings, Roy, Robert, Thomas Eckert, Ruth Snyder, Irene Muckway and Janette Blieden.

He is survived by: his wife Rebecca Eckert; his children, Roy Bradley Eckert, Douglas Scott Eckert, Lisa Ann Eckert-Divine and Tracey Danielle Schlinker (Kevin); his grandchildren, Darah and Adam; and also, Eric and Shawn Henry.
