He was predeceased by: his parents, Melton Tate and Lora Ann Rhodes (Diver); his wives, Mary Louise Rhodes (McBride) and Wilma Janice Rhodes (Casey); and his siblings, Bill Rhodes, Jim Rhodes, Martha Hamilton, Minnie Roberts, Evelyn Wear and Bessie Green.
He is survived by: his siblings, Aaron Rhodes (Louise) and Nancy Carter (Wilburn); and his children, Gary Rhodes (Angela), David Rhodes (Trudy), Linda Utley (Russell) and Cathy Rhodes (J. R. Myers). He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, forty-five great Grandchildren and two on the way, and many friends and relatives.
