It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jimmy Wayne Thrasher of Gurdon, Arkansas, born in Rector, Arkansas, who passed away on October 26, 2024, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Junior Eugene and Esther Marie Bass Thrasher; his daughter Kaitlyn Kelly; his granddaughter Lucille Davis; and his son-in-law Kelly Whisenhunt.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Sutton Thrasher of Gurdon; his children, Jeremy Davis (Jessica) of Batesville, Eddie Davis of Arkadelphia, Wendy Thrasher of Arkadelphia, Tasha Welch of Malvern and Mitzi Bolt (Jeremy) of Arkadelphia; his sister Kathy Freeman (Phillip) of Sparkman; his grandchildren, Courtney Lee Jones (Jared), Nathan Bolt, Collin Davis, Trent Nolen, Heather Bolt, Aaron Davis, Blakely Davis, Caleb Davis and Stella Davis; and his great grandchildren, Levi James, Josie Nolen, Kynlea Ellis, Leah Ellis and Clayton Ellis.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Welch Funeral Home (202 S 4th St, Arkadelphia, AR 71923). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Beech Street Baptist Church (1305 E Main St, Gurdon, AR 71743).
