He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Joe and Gladys Murphy Benson; and his sister Linda Beene. He is survived by: his wife Mary Kay McNeil Benson of Gurdon; his children, Daniel Benson (Alicia) of Arkadelphia and Melanie Hendrix (Keith) of San Diego; his brothers, Donald Benson of Gurdon and David Benson (Sheila) of Russellville; and his grandchildren, Jace and Jaxton Benson.
