She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Melvin Curtis and Flossie Mae Brown; her son William James; her granddaughter Josie; her pet Toby (Buddy); her siblings, James Brown and Joy Branham; her husband J. R. Pasley; and her daughter Josie Pasley. She was also cherished by extended family members, church family and friends.
