He is survived by: his wife Jennie Felts LaRue Smith; his children, Dede Franks (Austin) and Brent Smith (Angela); his stepson Brad LaRue (Meredith); his grandchildren, Cameron Franks, Jonathan Franks, Phoebe Smith, Britney LaRue, Brooke LaRue, Braddox LaRue and Jack Thomas LaRue; his great grandchildren, Harleigh Smith and Remington Fleming; and his siblings, Roy Smith (Lynn), Kenneth Smith (Sally) and Patti Clinton (Melvin). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.
