He is survived by: his wife Rebecca Komander; his son Johann Komander (Kristen); his stepson Josh McMillan (Amanda); his daughter Ela Komander; his stepdaughters, Kari Steffen, Amanda Farmer and Heather Kaempfe (Bobby); his mother Maria Galczynski; and his siblings, Wojciech Szaszor, Artur Komander and Milana Dlugopolska. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren and one great grandchild.
