She was predeceased by: her parents, Calvin Elmore and Wabane Elmore; her siblings, Eddie Elmore (Kim) and JoAnne Escalanta (Donnie); her great grandchild Mason Carter; and her brother-in-law Pete Butler.

She is survived by: her husband Jerry Carter; her children, Dale Carter (Laura) of Greenwood and Shelly Kern of Greenwood; her sisters, Susie Butler of Greenwood and Cheryl Craig (Larry) of Greenwood; and her sister-in-law Melanie Elmore. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren.
