It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Opal Lavon Hastings (Greenwood, Arkansas), who passed away on March 23, 2020, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her siblings, Marvin Rice, Jackie Jones, Bud Jones, Barbara King and Mary Croomer.

She is survived by: her husband Carl Mathew Hastings; her children, Carl Edward Hastings of Wister, Earl Mathew Hastings of Springdale and Opal Jane Merz of Broken Bow, OK; and her sisters, Billie Sweeten, Agnes Knapp and Linda Paz. She is also survived by five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
