He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Maginnis and Miriam Mansfield Maginnis; and his siblings, Ann Seidman, Patricia Maginnis, Catherine Alexander, Jane Bloom and Francis (Frank).

He is survived by: his siblings, Charlotte Palmer and Paul Maginnis (Linda); and also, Larry, Madge Peugh and Rex Martin. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
